Codema is the energy agency for Dublin and was set up as a not-for-profit organisation as part of a European project by Dublin City Council in 1997. Since 2009, Codema also acts as an energy adviser to Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council. The company is working with Dublin’s Local Authorities in order to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings to help reduce the city’s CO2 emissions and achieve the ambitious “20-20-20” climate and energy targets.
Codema has expertise in the areas of project management, energy in buildings, funding facilitation, energy awareness and energy policy. The company currently works on projects covering all aspects of sustainable energy including sustainable renovation, renewable energy, energy performance contracting, green electromobility, low energy buildings and end-user programmes, as well as smart metering through ICT.
