FCC, a company specialised in public services, was created in March 1992 through the merger of two prestigious companies: Construcciones y Contratas, founded in Madrid in 1944, and Fomento de Obras y Construcciones, founded in Barcelona in 1900 and listed on the stock exchange since December of that year.
FCC has offices in about 30 countries in Europe, America, Africa and Asia and has subsidiaries in Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Greece, Qatar, Kenya, Tunisia and India. FCC Construcción (FCCCo) participates as third party of FCC, S.A.. It is one of the largest Spanish contractors. It has operated in the construction sector since 1900. The construction activity represents 50% of the business. It has a footprint in 54 countries worldwide and over 44% of its revenues come from outside Spain (mainly Europe and the US).
FCCCo activities cover all areas of building (residential and non-residential) and civil engineering (roads, railways, airports, water works and marine works) both nationally and internationally.
As part of its international business, FCCCo, has executed works of many different kinds abroad and has a stable presence in various countries across North, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
